Master and Commander, Post Captain
By Patrick O'Brian
Master and Commander
Post Captain
So, a friend of mine got me to sit down and read the first two Jack Aubrey/Stephen Maturin books by Patrick O'Brian. She's completely sold on these sea tales of the Napoleonic Wars, and this is from someone who is not a fiction-lover at all.
Now, *I'm* a Hornblower nut and a Jane Austen fan, so the language was familiar, the tales were rollicking, and I liked Maturin especially.
I would definitely read more in the series. In fact, since I am about to be inundated with law school related reading, you should all send me fiction off my Amazon Wish List for when I need to take a well-deserved break. Consider that a hint.
